Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account and your data in Bucketeer (package com.kohservices.bucketeer), the place-tracking app published by KOh Services LLC. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need an account to read this page.

Option 1: delete it in the app

This is immediate and is the option we recommend.

• Open Bucketeer and go to the Me tab.
• Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
• Confirm. For your security you will first be asked to verify it is you — by entering your password, or by confirming with Sign in with Apple or your Google account, depending on how you sign in. This is what stops someone with your unlocked phone from erasing your account.

Your account and cloud data are removed right away, and the app returns to its signed-out state. Bucketeer works without an account, so you can keep using it.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

Use this if you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in.

Email us at with the subject Delete my account, sending from the email address on the account where possible. If you signed up with Apple or Google, tell us which, and include your display name so we can find the right account. We may ask you for something further to confirm the account is yours — we will not delete an account on an unverified request.

What is deleted

Everything we hold that is tied to your account:

• Your profile — email address, display name, and profile photo or avatar.
• Your activity — check-ins, badges, home country, and favorite collections.
• Your wishlist.
• Your friend connections, on both sides, and your invite code.
• The activity and badge summary your friends could see.
• Push notification registrations for every device you used.
• The record linking an ad-free subscription to your account (see below).
• Your sign-in itself. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke that grant, so Bucketeer disappears from the “Sign in with Apple” list in your Apple ID settings rather than lingering there.

What is not deleted

• Data on your device. Bucketeer is local-first: your check-ins and badges are stored on the phone itself and stay there after the account is gone. Delete the app to remove them.
• Usage analytics. Anonymous analytics about app features — never the places you visit, and never tied to your account — is retained for 14 months. Because it is not linked to your account, it cannot be traced back to you or separated out. See the Privacy Policy.
• Backups. Deleted data is removed from our active systems immediately and purged from routine backups on a rolling basis.
• Your subscription. An Ad-Free Year subscription is billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your Bucketeer account does not cancel it — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or it will renew. Deleting your account does release the purchase, so the same Apple ID or Google account can use it on a future Bucketeer account.

How long it takes

Deleting in the app happens immediately. An emailed request is completed within 30 days of us verifying it is your account, and usually much sooner; we reply to confirm when it is done.
